Welcome!
My name is Miss Hernandez, my hometown is Wasco. I currently live in Bakersfield. I earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I persevered and earned my credential through the Kern Rural Teacher Residency program. Prior to becoming a teacher, I developed my skills in education by working as an AVID tutor, substitute teacher, Migrant Aid, and activity leader.
It has always been my dream to become a teacher. I have determination and passion for learning. I am an optimistic teacher who encourages students to have a growth mindset. I encourage my students to remain positive and learn from their mistakes.
"Start over with lessons learned."
-Angela Duckworth
I have two children who inspire me everyday. I love Harry Potter, stars, superheroes, coffee, playing volleyball, and giggling with my children. I also enjoy learning new things such as 3D printing and making crafts with my Cricut.
"The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall."
